Which New Moon DVD is Best for You

As we all anxiously await the release of the New Moon DVD next week, we’re all left with tons of possible choices of where to pre-order the DVD. You’d think that each store would just have the same movie, but it’s not the movie that we’re worried about, it’s all the bonus stuff that we’re looking forward to. To help our Twihards out, we’ve made a breakdown!

Here are the contenders:

Target: The Twilight Saga: New Moon 3 Disc Deluxe Edition DVD with Bonus Collectible Film Cell $24.99

Included in this edition are the Standard Edition 2-Disc DVD plus a exclusive third disc of over 60 minutes of never before seen content and an exclusive bonus collectible film cell.

PROS: The third disc! It’s a special addition and if it’s anything like the Twilight DVD, it’ll also include a digital version for your ipod! It also includes a Film Cell from the shoot.

CONS: Can’t pick up your pre-order on release date, must wait for shipping, most stores sold out of in-store copies the first day

Boarders: The Twilight Saga: New Moon- 2 Disc with Medallion $29.99

Exclusive packaging that complements our existing Borders Exclusive Twilight packaging. Includes exclusive medallion necklace on a silver chain—gold side features wolf-pack tattoo design, silver side shows the Cullen crest. PLUS, enjoy over 25 minutes of previously unreleased EXTENDED SCENES.

PROS: Able to pick up your copy at specific Boarder Locations, which also host New Moon Release parties. Also, the medallion sounds pretty cool.

CONS: The Price is pretty steep, and that’s the discount price.

Amazon: The Twilight Saga: New Moon (Two-Disc Special Edition) $20.99

A riveting six-part documentary that takes you behind the scenes.

PROS: The Price, of course!

CONS: The Shipping. Twihards want their DVD immediately. Too much room for error with a shipping company.

Now all DVD’s include the following:

Revealing feature length commentary with Director Chris Weitz and Editor Peter Lambert; a riveting 6-PART DOCUMENTARY that takes you behind the scenes (Part 1: Life After Twilight; Part 2: Chris Weitz takes the helm; Part 3: The Subtle Details; Part 4: Time to Shine; Part 5: Tricks of the Trade; Part 6: Ready for the World); Band Rehersal Footage with Muse; and Music videos from Death Cab for Cutie, Anya Marina, and Mute Math.

OUR PICK: TARGET

Why- Because the third disc and digital copy is worth the wait and price.
